Ensuring Safe Water and Hygienic Use among Vulnerable People
Safe and readily available water is important for public health, whether it is used for drinking, domestic use, food production or recreational purposes, especially for vulnerable people of our society. Improved water supply and sanitation, and better management of water resources, can boost countries’ economic growth and can contribute greatly to poverty reduction. Again, good hygiene is critical for preventing the spread of infectious diseases and aids in the maintenance of health and the extension of life spans, ensure good mental health, increases productivity. We ensured safe sources of water supply, the processing or treatment of the water, and the distribution of water to the users, capturing, storing, transport, treatment and disposal or reuse of human excreta and wastewater, home sanitation and food hygiene, personal hygiene, and village sanitation in Rayerbazar, Dhaka, in association with Neer Sheba Shangstha for 24 months.
