Implementation of Services Related to AIDS
HIV, or Human Immunodeficiency Virus, weakens your immune system by destroying important cells that fight disease and infection. Over time, body cannot fight infections and disease anymore. When this happens, HIV infection can lead to AIDS. AIDS, or Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, is a complex illness with a wide range of complications and symptoms. AIDS is the final stage of HIV. We worked for raising awareness against HIV and AIDS. We provided early identification of HIV positive people in need, appropriate initial and continued counselling, assessment of HIV disease stage, treatment for those who need it, monitoring while on treatment for efficacy, adherence and side-effects, detection, and management of other complications of HIV infection, provision of sexual and reproductive health services as well as careful record-keeping throughout the project duration of 36 months in Dhaka City in association with La-Jownes Internattional.
