Sector Policy Support Project of the Water Supply and Sanitation Sub-Sector in Bangladesh Phase-III
Safe and readily available water is important for public health, whether it is used for drinking, domestic use, food production or recreational purposes. Improved water supply and sanitation, and better management of water resources, can boost countries economic growth and can contribute greatly to poverty reduction. Again, good hygiene is critical for preventing the spread of infectious diseases and aids in the maintenance of health and the extension of life spans, ensure good mental health, increases productivity in both our personal and professional lives.We ensured safe sources of water supply, the processing or treatment of the water, and the distribution of water to the users, capturing, storing, transport, treatment and disposal or reuse of human excreta and wastewater, home sanitation and food hygiene, personal hygiene, and village sanitation for 12 months in Patuakhali in association with Patuakhali Development Organization under Local Government Division. We also conducted 30 workshops under this program.
